トンガ大洋州噴火津波救援金　／　Relief funds for Tonga Volcanic Eruptions and Tsunami　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　

2022年1月15(日)、南大洋州の島口トンガの首都ヌクアロファの北約65ｋｍに位置する海底火山『フンガトンガ・フンガハアバイ火山』で大規模な噴火が発生しました。

その噴火によって発生した津波による、住宅の倒壊、津波と降灰による飲料水の汚染が深刻となっております。

被災された方々には心よりお見舞い申し上げます。

くみあい船舶とKumiai Navigationはともに、『トンガ大洋州噴火津波救援金』として50万円ずつ、

合計100万円を、日本赤十字社を通じて寄付を致しました。

On 15 January 2022 (Sunday), a massive eruption occurred at ” Hunga Tonga–Hunga Ha’apai “, a submarine volcano  located about 65 km north of Nuku’alofa, the capital of Tonga, Fuji.

The tsunami triggered by the eruption had damaged many residents’ houses and the falling volcanic ashes had severely contaminated the drinking waters.

We would like to express our deepest sympathies to those affected by the disaster.

We have pledged JPY1,000,000, JPY500,000 each from Kumiai Senpaku Co., Ltd. and Kumiai Navigation ((Pte) Ltd respectively,  to “Tonga Oceania Eruption Tsunami Relief Fund” through Japan Red Cross.
